Post No. 096: To The Ones I Love, Part 5 — The Frazzled Hymn Of The Democrats

The Frazzled Hymn
Of The Democrats

The Democrats Are Engaged In
A Frazzled Struggle On Behalf Of
Those Who Are Experiencing Poverty
And Injustice—And All Of Those
Whom God Should Decide
Are Worthy Of Going To Heaven
—Since The Democrats Feel Like
"We Are The World!"

My Writing Notes:

The reason that I wrote this poem can be summed up with the following statement: This poem was inspired by the song "Battle Hymn of the Republic" by Julia Ward Howe.

Just so you know, I rewrote this poem, as I often do with my writing! Thus, I decided to revise this poem and change the original title from "The Battle Hymn Of The Democrats" to "The Frazzled Hymn Of The Democrats," because I think that Democrats and Republicans are both frazzled from being in a battle against each other over who is correct about their religious beliefs! So, I wanted to show you how this poem used to be written, before I rewrote it as above.

And it used to be written like this:

The Battle Hymn Of The Democrats

A Battle
Against Poverty
—And Injustice!

And, thus, I rewrote it to be written as it is above.

For, I feel like the Democrats are frazzled by believing they 'have to be' engaged in a struggle on behalf of those who are experiencing poverty and injustice—and all of those whom God should decide are worthy of going to Heaven—due to the religious beliefs of Democrats, since the Democrats feel like, to them, "We Are The World!"

By the way, when I republished the blog post prior to this one from my "Small All White in the Forest" blog (please see the hyperlink below for the blog), I was certain that I had changed the post 'header' title from 'Battle' to 'Frazzled' (as mentioned above) in order for it to correspond with the poem title in preparation for republishing; however, I apparently did not change that prior blog post 'header' title as I had thought!

You see, I was convinced I had already changed that prior blog post 'header' title before republishing on January 28th, 2022, but then I noticed that the prior post title still said, "To The Ones I Love, Part 4 — The Battle Hymn Of The Republicans." So, I corrected it to say, "To The Ones I Love, Part 4 — The Frazzled Hymn Of The Republicans." However, the address of that post still reads as follows:

So, for the sake of consistency, I kept this post 'header' title as "To The Ones I Love, Part 5 — The Battle Hymn Of The Democrats" until I republished it; then, I corrected it to say, "To The Ones I Love, Part 5 — The Frazzled Hymn Of The Democrats." That way, both posts are published incorrectly, then corrected, because that is what "bipartisan compromise" is all about! Thus, the address of this post still reads as follows:

And this poem was also published on my "Small All White in the Forest" blog (please see the hyperlink below for the blog), since I feel that the message in this poem applies to the message that I am trying to convey through "Small All White in the Forest."

This poem was written in Portland, Oregon.
