"Born To Be Wild!"

The creativity within
all of us—of course—is
a power that we express
like really wild horses!

My Writing Notes:

The reason that I wrote this poem can be summed up with the following statement: This poem was inspired by the song "Born To Be Wild" written by Mars Bonfire for the band Steppenwolf and, specifically, the cover performed by the band Hinder from their music video (please see the hyperlink below for the video) because, in my heart of hearts, I am a rocker dude!

By the way, I interpret the lyrics "Fire all of your guns at once" to be starting guns in a race because, in promoting this song, I do not wish to promote gun violence in the minds of those who solve problems through gun violence.

And this poem was also published on my "Small All White in the Forest" blog (please see the hyperlink below for the blog), since I feel that the message in this poem applies to the message that I am trying to convey through "Small All White in the Forest."

This poem was written in Portland, Oregon.
