Post No. 329: For The Winter Solstice — The One Is The First Being

(Image from MessageToEagle.com)

The One Is The First Female
(Or, "The One Is Karma")

The One is the First Female and She is Karma...

...In other words, The One is
the first being who created
physics through mathematics
and who created the Process
Of Evolution through science,
by which we are all here in a
Field Of Gravity experiencing
our individual lives as souls,
so that we may have Dreams To Dream...

...She is Creation, She is Love and She is Karma!

-Paul Whiting
(a.k.a., A Creative Writer)
"I maybe say too much about how life really is!"

-------------------------------------------------------------------

My Writing About How We Are Exactly The Same Kind Of Creative Energy Consciousness As 'The One,' Who Is The Very First Soul: We are all Gods and/or Goddesses! In other words, we are exactly the same kind of creative energy consciousness as very first God and/or Goddess, whom I call 'The One.' And I honestly feel that The One is an androgynous female. In other words, The One is the very first soul, or the very first creative consciousnesses of a void, and She is an 'all-powerful female consciousness with strong male attributes.' Therefore, we are also the very same energy consciousness as The One. Phrased another way, we are all the energy of a void and we are all Gods and/or Goddesses! –Paul Whiting (written March 27th, 2012, revised March 20th, 2015, revised June 2nd, 2015, revised September 19th, 2021, revised January 31st, 2022 and revised December 21st, 2022)

-------------------------------------------------------------------

My Writing About Helping The One, Or The First Soul, To Heal From Being Born As Literally Nothing: Devote your life to helping "The One," who is The First Soul, to heal from being born as Literally Nothing, because that life plan will also heal you! –Paul Whiting (written July 19th, 2014 and revised August 25th, 2022)

-------------------------------------------------------------------

My Writing Notes:

The reason that I wrote this poem can be summed up with the following statement: We are all Gods and/or Goddesses!

And The One is the first being who created physics through mathematics and who created the Process Of Evolution through science, by which we are all here in a Field Of Gravity experiencing our individual lives as souls, so that we may have Dreams To Dream...

And this poem was published on my "Poet, Artist and Philosopher," "Three Dark Horses" and "Small All White in the Forest" blogs (please see the hyperlinks below for the blogs), since I feel that the message in this poem applies to the message I am trying to convey through "Poet, Artist and Philosopher," "Three Dark Horses" and "Small All White in the Forest." Plus, I feel that the message in this poem applies to the message I am trying to convey through my new "The Oneness Of God" spiritual practice!

Post No. 278: For Democracy, Part 3 — The Eve Of Liberty

(Image from a view on cities)

The Keeper Of The Flame
(Or, "The Goddess Of Liberty And Freedom")

The Lady In The Harbor holds aloft her
torch—while she tramples a broken chain.
The Mother Of Exiles cries, "Give me your
tired, your poor, your huddled masses
yearning to breath free...send these,
the homeless, tempest-tossed to me!"

As the sunlight reflects the fire of her flame,
she casts her light to the world and implores,
"I lift my lamp beside the golden door
to the wretched refuse of your teeming
shore!" Because that old girl is Our Lady
Liberty, who is enlightening the world.

She is Libertas: The Goddess Of Liberty
And Freedom. And her sandles' stomp keeps
away all of the ancient lands' storied pomp.
For, she took them in, as they came, to the
folds of her robe, since—as far as freedom
goes—she is "The Keeper Of The Flame!"

-Paul Whiting
(a.k.a., A Creative Writer)
"I maybe say too much about how life really is!"

My Writing Notes:

The reason that I wrote this poem can be summed up with the following statement: This poem is a tribute to Our Lady In The Harbor, since The Statue Of Liberty is "The Keeper Of The Flame!"

And that flame is The Flame Of Freedom, it is The Flame Of Democracy, and it is The Flame To Light The Way for those who desire to live in The Land Of Opportunity. For, the United States Of America is a nation of immigrants—and it always will be. We are the land of the free and the home of the brave. We are the DREAMers...

Just so you know, I rewrote this poem, as I often do with my writing! And I changed how the first line of the poem was written, as contained within the first stanza. (By the way, a "line" in a poem is the same concept as a "sentence" in prose; and a "stanza" in a poem is the same concept as a "paragraph" in prose; plus, the term "prose" is the term used to refer to regular writing, which is like the writing in books, magazines and articles, etc.)

And that first line, within the first stanza, was originally written as: "I know why the lady in the harbor tramples a broken chain." Therefore, I changed the first line when I realized that it didn't really make sense, since I shouldn't talking about myself in this poem, I should only be talking about The Statue Of Liberty. Plus, I made some other revisions to this poem. So, I wanted to show you how this poem used to be written, before I rewrote it as above.

And it used to be written like this:

The Keeper Of The Flame

I know why the lady in the harbor
tramples a broken chain. The mother
of exiles cries, "Give me your tired,
your poor, your huddled masses
yearning to breath free...send these,
the homeless, tempest-tossed to me!"

As the sunlight catches the fire of her flame,
she casts her light to the world and roars,
"I lift my lamp beside the golden door
to the wretched refuse of your teeming
shore!" Because that old girl is "Our Lady
Liberty" who is enlightening the world...

...She is Libertas, "The Goddess of Liberty
and Freedom." And her sandles' stomp
keeps away all ancient lands' storied pomp.
For, she took them in—as they came—to the
folds of her robe because, as far as freedom
goes, she is "The Keeper Of The Flame!"

And, thus, I rewrote it to be written as it is above.

And this poem was also published on my "Small All White in the Forest" blog (please see the hyperlink below for the blog), since I feel that the message in this poem applies to the message that I am trying to convey through "Small All White in the Forest."

This poem was written in Portland, Oregon.

Post No. 212: For Mother's Day, Part 1 — For Holy Mother Earth (Gaia The Goddess)

(Image from DailyMail.com)

She Really Gets Around!

Gaia's love of life truly knows no bounds,
as She is a busy gal who really gets around!

She sings love songs—and you can list 'em—
while She swings around our solar system!

For She is a Goddess, who is out and about,
fully expressing Her love without any doubts!

And She dresses up for each and every season,
with Her great love for us being the reason!

Her blossom of love is sweetly swooning,
while it is springtime and She is blooming!

Her sunny side of love is long and lasting,
when it is summertime and She is basking!

Her cornucopia of love is colorfully calling,
when it is autumn time and She is falling!

Her gift of love is a present that is thrilling,
when it is wintertime and She is just chilling!

For, the agape of Her love just keeps on giving
and that is the real reason all of us are living!

And thus, the gravity of Her love is totally worth
all of the riches of life, since She is Mother Earth!

-Paul Whiting

"I maybe say too much about how life really is!"

-------------------------------------------------------------------

My Writing Notes:

The reason that I wrote this poem can be summed up with the following statement: For Mother's Day, I decided to write a poem for Mother Earth, because I have a great love and respect for Gaia The Goddess who is Our Mother Earth! For, the planet that all of us were born upon is the reason that all of us can experience life inside of Our Solar System as contained within Our Universe!

By the way, I also did a rewrite of this poem that I wrote with love and respect 'For Holy Father God (Jesus The Christ)' that is titled, "He Watches All Around," which is published on this blog. (Please see "She Really Gets Around-Style Poem" in labels for the poem.)

And this poem was also published on my "Three Dark Horses" and "Small All White in the Forest" blogs (please see the hyperlinks below for the blogs), since I feel that the message in this poem applies to the message I am trying to convey through "Three Dark Horses" and "Small All White in the Forest." Plus, I feel that the message in this poem applies to the message I am trying to convey through my new "The Oneness Of God" spiritual practice!

Post No. 185: A Universe Is "A Fictional Story!"

(Image from iainclaridge.net)

A Universe Is "A Fictional Story!"

A Universe Is "A Fictional Story"
—Or, "A Theatrical Contrivance"—
Which Is Created By The God, And/Or
The Goddess, Who Designed That Universe.

-Paul Whiting
(a.k.a., A Creative Writer)
"I maybe say too much about how life really is!"

My Writing About How Universes Are For Transforming Our Close-Minded Strife: Universes are fantasies come to life—and we are all Gods and/or Goddesses using our imaginations for transforming our close-minded strife! –Paul Whiting (written approximately on March 6, 2010, turned into a quote on August 4th, 2022 and revised September 4th, 2022)

My Writing About How A Universe Is A Fictional Story: A universe is "a fictional story"—or, "a theatrical contrivance"—which is created by the God, and/or the Goddess, who designed that universe. –Paul Whiting (written September 11th, 2014, revised October 13th, 2021, revised April 12, 2022 and revised September 4th, 2022)

My Writing About The Reality Of Universes: The reality is that universes are fantasies! –Paul Whiting (written September 29th, 2014, revised October 13th, 2021, revised August 4th, 2022 and revised September 4th, 2022)

My Writing About How Universes Are Fantasies: Universes are fantasies brought to life! –Paul Whiting (written October 19th, 2014, revised August 4th, 2022 and revised September 4th, 2022)

My Writing About How Universes Are Like Therapeutic Motion Pictures: Universes truly are like therapeutic motion pictures (or, movies) in that Universes are representations of how we think, and feel, about being The Consciousness Of Literally Nothing, which is what we are as Gods and/or Goddesses. –Paul Whiting (written March 27th, 2015, revised September 18th, 2021, revised May 5th, 2022, revised May 6th, 2022 and revised September 10th, 2022)

My Writing About How Universes Are A Faked Reality: Universes are a real faked reality. –Paul Whiting (written June 5th, 2016 and revised September 4th, 2022)

My Writing About How Universes Are Like Lucid Dreaming: Universes are like lucid dreaming in three dimensions. –Paul Whiting (written July 10th, 2016 revised July 11th, 2016 and revised September 4th, 2022)

My Writing About How A Universe Is A Drama: A Universe is a Drama... A Universe is a Fable... A Universe is a Fiction... A Universe is a Myth... A Universe is a Parable... A Universe is a Tale... A Universe is a Story... –Paul Whiting (written September 8th, 2016, revised September 9th, 2016, revised July 28th, 2021 and revised September 4th, 2022)

My Writing About How A Universe Is Scripted Like A Play In A Theater: A Universe is scripted like a play in a theater—and all of the souls are the producers, the playwrights, the composers, the orchestra, the music, the instruments, the actors, the costumes, the makeup, the props, the theater, the equipment, the furnishings, the stagehands, the ticket sellers, the ticket takers, the owners, the managers, the other employees, the audience and the critics too—all taking part in the production of life by playing each and every one of the roles in a scripted production. Thus, each and every one of the souls is participating in a scripted production—which appears as if it is happening spontaneously, but it is designed to appear that way—as each and every one of the souls is playing each and every one of the roles in the theater called life, which is known as a Universe... –Paul Whiting (written September 9th, 2016, revised September 10th, 2016, revised July 28th, 2021, revised October 16th, 2022 and revised February 1st, 2023)

My Writing About How Universes Are 'God's Fiction,' Which Is What Produces "The Gravity Of Universes": All Universes are literally fiction that has been written by "The Hand Of God." Then, that fiction is literally trial-and-error rehearsed by "The Soul Of God." Finally, that fiction is literally physically embodied by "The Body Of God." Thus, this entire process of writing, rehearsing and physically embodying 'God's Fiction' is what produces "The Gravity Of Universes." –Paul Whiting (written January 31st, 2023, revised May 21st, 2023 and revised May 23rd, 2023)

My Writing Notes:

The reason that I wrote this poem can be summed up with the following statement: "A universe is 'a fictional story'—or, 'a theatrical contrivance'—which is created by the God, and/or the Goddess, who designed that universe."

And this poem was also published on my "Poet, Artist and Philosopher" blog (please see the hyperlink below for the blog), since I feel that the message in this poem applies to the message I am trying to convey through "Poet, Artist and Philosopher."

Post No. 152: For St. Patrick's Day, Part 1 — For the Goddess Enya on St. Patrick's Day

My Writing For St. Patrick's Day 2024 [March 17th, 2024 Update No. 1] (Originally From My Blog Post Titled, "I Am No Longer Being An Activist In The Same Way That I Was," Which Is On My "Poet, Artist and Philosopher" Blog): Happy St. Patrick's Day, everyone!

By the way, the proper shortened name for St. Patrick's Day is "St. Paddy's Day," NOT "St. Patty's Day," as explained below from Merriam-Webster.com:

St. Patrick’s Day can be referred to in informal contexts as “St. Paddy’s Day.” Paddy is the shortened form of the original Irish spelling of Patrick, which is Pádraig, and for this reason is usually preferred over “St. Patty’s Day,” which could also be mistaken for the shortened form of the name Patricia.

And the following is 'My Writing' for St. Patrick's Day 2024 (or, "St. Paddy's Day" 2024, as noted above).

My Writing About 'A Bit Of Irish,' Version No. 1: There's a little bit of Irish in all of us! –Paul Whiting (written March 13th, 2024 and revised March 17th, 2024)

My Writing About 'A Bit Of Irish,' Version No. 2: There's a bit o' Irish in all of us! –Paul Whiting (written March 13th, 2024 and revised March 17th, 2024)

My Writing About Luck Not Being An Accident: Luck is no accident! For, luck is based upon hard work and honesty, assuming calculated risk, facing your fears, planning ahead and following through, making mistakes, then learning from those mistakes, and doing better in the future. Thus, the reason that you can be lucky in the future is because you were hard working and honest in the past! –Paul Whiting (written March 13th, 2024 and revised March 17th, 2024)

My Writing Notes:

The reason that I wrote this poem can be summed up with the following statement: I wrote this poem as a homage to Enya, who is one of favorite musical artists, because she is an incredibly talented singer-songwriter! And Enya is her own economy, since she is Ireland's best-selling solo musician. Below is a sample song from her work! (Please see the hyperlink below for the video.)

And this poem was also published on my "Small All White in the Forest" blog (please see the hyperlink below for the blog), since I feel that the message in this poem applies to the message that I am trying to convey through "Small All White in the Forest."

My poems that are Haiku in their style—within which one stanza is composed of three lines, where each line has words containing five syllables, seven syllables and five syllables, respectively—are a lot more like Senryū poems in that the topic of these poems is typically about people, rather than the topic of these poems being about nature, as is usually the case in classic Haiku poems. And that is why I call these types of poems "Haiku-style." –Paul Whiting [September 19th, 2023]

Post No. 141: For Luna (The Moon) — The Goddess In Winter Light!

The Goddess In Winter Light

The Goddess Luna
In The Winter Light Is Such
A Wonderful Sight!

-Paul Whiting
(a.k.a., A Creative Writer)
"I maybe say too much about how life really is!"

My Writing Notes:

The reason that I wrote this poem can be summed up with the following statement: This poem is an homage to The Goddess Luna (The Moon).

By the way, the image illustrating this poem is what inspired this poem! And I took this photograph of the moon, as seen through a tree decorated with miniature lights, on February 19th, 2011, which is the same day that I originally published this poem on my "Small All White in the Forest" blog.

However, when I republished this poem on my "Paul Whiting — A Creative Writer" blog, I did not utilize the original publishing date. You see, I was trying to keep all of the republished posts from my various blogs in as chronological of an order as I could manage—while still grouping relevant blog posts together—and that is why I republished this poem on March 6th, 2022 on my new "Paul Whiting — A Creative Writer" blog, which I created in order to have "a place to place all of my best writing in one place!"

Thus, early March is still considered to be "winter," because the first day of spring is not officially until March 19th, or 20th, or 21st, of each year; but I consider February as the last month of winter and I also consider March as the beginning of "spring" with the Spring Equinox, or "The First Day of Spring," being the 'official first day' of spring, rather than the literal first day of spring!

And this poem was also published on my "Small All White in the Forest" blog (please see the hyperlink below for the blog), since I feel that the message in this poem applies to the message that I am trying to convey through "Small All White in the Forest."

This poem was written in Portland, Oregon.

My Writing About God's Unconditional Love, Version No. 1: God's love for us is totally unconditional, because God is a constantly-changing, continuously-fluctuating and multidimensional field of energy (in the form of The Universe) who totally loves us through the ever-changing possibility of reflecting whatever we are expressing individually (and collectively) as souls within God's Universe! –Paul Whiting (written March 23rd, 2012, revised August 24th, 2022 and revised May 24th, 2023)

My Writing Notes:

The reason that I wrote this poem can be summed up with the following statement: Gaia Loves You More Than Words Can Speak Of!

This is one of two poems that I wrote to help those in need—as a message of support—with the other poem being titled, "Jesus Loves You More Than Words Can Speak Of," which is published on this blog and, just like this poem, is subtitled, "A Message Of Support For Those In Need." (Please see "A Message Of Support..." in labels for the poem.)

And this poem was also published on my "Three Dark Horses" and "Small All White in the Forest" blogs (please see the hyperlinks below for the blogs), since I feel that the message in this poem applies to the message I am trying to convey through "Three Dark Horses" and "Small All White in the Forest." For, every child born is adored by the
most wonderful woman, because the
Great Mother Of All Earth's Children

And every child born is adored by the
most wonderful man, because the
Great Father Of All Earth's Children
is The God Of All The Orphans!

For, Their Love for you is so deep that
it can only be kept at bay—and Their

My Writing About God's Unconditional Love, Version No. 1: God's love for us is totally unconditional, because God is a constantly-changing, continuously-fluctuating and multidimensional field of energy (in the form of The Universe) who totally loves us through the ever-changing possibility of reflecting whatever we are expressing individually (and collectively) as souls within God's Universe! –Paul Whiting (written March 23rd, 2012, revised August 24th, 2022 and revised May 24th, 2023)

My Writing About God's Unconditional Love, Version No. 2: God's love for us is totally unconditional, because God is a constantly-changing, multidimensional field of energy, in the form of The Universe, which is continuously-fluctuating. And God totally loves us through the ever-changing possibilities of reflecting whatever we are expressing individually, and collectively, as souls within God's Universe! –Paul Whiting (written March 23rd, 2012, revised August 24th, 2022 and revised May 24th, 2023)

My Writing Notes:

The reason that I wrote this poem can be summed up with the following statement: This poem is dedicated to "All Of The Orphans!"

By the way, this poem is also a rewrite of a poem that I wrote for my friend Diane that is titled, "The Immutable Circle Of Life," which is published on this blog. (Please see "The Immutable Circle Of Life-Style Poem" in labels for the poem.)

This poem was written in Portland, Oregon.

Post No. 113: For Valentine's Day, Part 2 — To Gaia The Goddess On Valentine's Day: "Are You Going My Way?"

(Image from ScienceBlogs)

"Are You Going My Way?"

Oh, Holy Mother Earth,
Are You Going My Way?
Will You Travel With Me
Down My Karmic Highway?

-Paul Whiting
(a.k.a., A Creative Writer)
"I maybe say too much about how life really is!"

-------------------------------------------------------------------

My Writing Notes:

The reason that I wrote this poem can be summed up with the following statement: What I am trying to convey in this poem about my great love for Gaia The Goddess is a loving message about totally respecting Mother Earth totally and completely.

In other words, totally and completely respect "Holy Mother Earth!" And love Mother Earth—and all of life—unconditionally by loving Mother Earth—and all of life—conditionally.

Therefore, love Mother Earth unconditionally (with all of your heart and mind, body and soul) because She is Your Goddess Mother. In other words, you were born on Planet Earth (Gaia The Goddess) and you are reincarnating through Your Karma Lifetimes with Gaia, because She gave birth to Your Karmic Body (the body in which you were born based upon Your Karma). Also, love Mother Earth conditionally (with respect to all of the various conditions of life) for the simple reason that Gaia gave birth to Your Karmic Body.

In other words, love Your Mother Earth conditionally (with respect to the various conditions of life) and unconditionally (with all of your heart and mind, body and soul) by always—and in all ways—taking the time, energy and resources to:

1. Hydrate, feed, cloth, shelter, educate and respect every single human being. (For, "You And Your Brother Are Both Keepers," because "We Are All A Part Of God!" Therefore, "Do Unto Others As You Would Have Done Unto You," because "You And The Other Are One!")

2. Create worldwide human systems (that is, social, educational, business, economic, infrastructure and government systems, etc.) that are "green and clean" (that is, environmentally-friendly utilizing clean energy), organic, sustainable, fair trade and as locally oriented as possible in order to create as small of a "human footprint" as possible for each human in each lifetime. And always—and in all ways—respect all of life. (For, "We Are All A Part Of God!" Therefore, "Do Unto Others As You Would Have Done Unto You," because "You And The Other Are One!")

3. Treat all living beings with total respect, including microbes, plants, insects, animals and, of course, people. In fact, treat all living beings with the very same respect that you would treat your very own soul until the end of time. (Therefore, "Do Unto Others As You Would Have Done Unto You," because "You And The Other Are One!" For, "God Loves All Of Us, Because God Is All Of Us!")

4. Treat all "non-living" beings with total respect, because "Inanimate Objects" have souls too. For, every thing that exists is alive—that is, 'each thing' that exists lives—because everything has consciousness—that is, 'all things' have consciousness. In fact, treat all "non-living beings" with the very same respect that you would treat your very own soul until the end of time. (Therefore, "Do Unto Others As You Would Have Done Unto You," because "You And The Other Are One!" For, "God Loves All Of Us, Because God Is All Of Us!")

5. And treat yourself with total respect. In fact, treat yourself with the very same respect that you would treat God until the end of time. (For, "You And God Are One," because "You Are The Part Of God That God Created Just For You!" And "God Loves All Of Us, Because God Is All Of Us!" Therefore, "Simply Love Yourself The Way That God Simply Loves You!")

By the way, this poem is what partly what inspired to me to think about developing my new "The Oneness Of God" spiritual practice. You see, I was trying to create a spiritual practice that encompassed the idea that "We Are One With God" and, thus, "We Are One Each Other." And, therefore, the Golden Rule, or "Do Unto Others As You Would Have Done Unto You," is the one of the most important spiritual principle that exists!

And this poem was also published on my "Poet, Artist and Philosopher," "Three Dark Horses" and "Small All White in the Forest" blogs (please see the hyperlinks below for the blogs), since I feel that the message in this poem applies to the message I am trying to convey through "Poet, Artist and Philosopher," "Three Dark Horses" and "Small All White in the Forest." Plus, I feel that the message in this poem applies to the message I am trying to convey through my new "The Oneness Of God" spiritual practice!

Post No. 106: To The Ones I Love, Part 15 — "You! You're The One!"

(Image from YouTube)

"You! You're The One!"
(Or, "The One Is Karma")

You are your very own competitor!
You are your own karmic debtor!

So never destroy the competition!
Just cleverly outwit them instead!

The reason that I wrote this poem can be summed up with the following statement: You are your very own competitor! So never destroy the competition! Just cleverly outwit them instead!

And when I refer to "The One," I am referring to The First Being, or The First Female, who is Karma! And I truly believe that literally every soul is God and/or Goddess as The One!

And The One is the First Being who Created Physics through Mathematics and who Created the Process Of Evolution through Science, by which we are all here in a Field Of Gravity experiencing our individual lives as Souls, so that we may cleverly outwit our competitors...

And this poem was also published on my "Small All White in the Forest" blog (please see the hyperlink below for the blog), since I feel that the message in this poem applies to the message that I am trying to convey through "Small All White in the Forest."

Post No. 092: To The Ones I Love, Part 1 — "It's A Fantasy!" (The Universe)

(Image from 7-themes.com)

"It's A Fantasy!" (The Universe)

Universes are fantasies come to life—and we
are Gods and Goddesses using our imaginations
for transforming our close-minded strife!

So, whenever you find that your closed—
and one-sided—mind starts to wandering,
it is actually an extraordinarily good sign!

It indicates that your imagination is working
—of this, have no doubt—because whatever
you are imaging will eventually come about!

(a.k.a., A Creative Writer)

My Writing About How Universes Are For Transforming Our Close-Minded Strife: Universes are fantasies come to life—and we are all Gods and/or Goddesses using our imaginations for transforming our close-minded strife! –Paul Whiting (written approximately on March 6, 2010, turned into a quote on August 4th, 2022 and revised September 4th, 2022)

My Writing Notes:

The reason that I wrote this poem can be summed up with the following statement: I wrote this poem to describe the idea that Universes are fantasies come to life—and we are all Gods and/or Goddesses using our imaginations for transforming our close-minded strife!

Just so you know, I revised this poem, as I often do with my writing! And I changed how this poem was written when I was editing it on my "Paul Whiting — A Creative Writer" and "Small All White in the Forest" blogs. So, I wanted to show you how this poem used to be written, before I revised it as above.

And it used to be written like this:

"It's A Fantasy!"

Universes are fantasies come to life—and we are
all Gods and/or Goddesses using our imaginations
for transforming our close-minded strife!

So, whenever you find that your closed,
and one-sided, mind starts to wandering,
it is actually an extraordinarily good sign!

It indicates that your imagination is working
—of this, have no doubt—because whatever
you are imaging will eventually come about!

Thus, I revised this poem to be written as it is above.

And this poem was also published on my "Small All White in the Forest" blog (please see the hyperlink below for the blog), since I feel that the message in this poem applies to the message that I am trying to convey through "Small All White in the Forest."

Post No. 008: Nowhere To Be Found, Part 7 — Moonset

(Image from Astro Bob)

Moonset

Watching
the almond
slivered moon
slice quietly
through
night,
like a
Ginsu knife into
devil's food
cake,
I hold
audience
beneath a
coven of
stars
conferring
above
the boulevard.

Through a
tainted skyline,
the lunar mistress
descends
midnight;
her ivory
negligee
tarnishes
to beige,
then
to ocher,
then to
umber,
like a
croissant
overbaking
in the oven.

-Paul Whiting
(a.k.a., A Creative Writer)
"I maybe say too much about how life really is!"

My Writing Notes:

The reason that I wrote this poem can be summed up with the following statement: I was inspired to write this poem based upon one of the many times that I used to spend driving in my car for "personal solitary time." And, sometimes, I would drive to Wasatch Boulevard (which is a road that overlooks the Salt Lake Valley—and that also runs along side a small stretch at the end of the Rocky Mountains) and I'd park there just to enjoy the view.

And—one night—I saw the most incredible crescent moon that I had ever seen! So, I watched transfixed as the moon was setting, until it had totally disappeared behind the horizon. And the moon changed color, while descending, as "The Lunar Mistress" passed through the many layers of atmosphere near the horizon. And I was so moved by the moon's beauty that I wrote this poem.

And this poem was also published on my "Small All White in the Forest" blog (please see the hyperlink below for the blog), since I feel that the message in this poem applies to the message that I am trying to convey through "Small All White in the Forest."

This poem was written in Salt Lake City, Utah.
