Post No. 076: For My "Soul Children"

(Image from dreamcatcher)

"Soul Children, My Children"

Be assertive—Soul Children, My Children—
and know how much I truly love you.

Be risky—Soul Children, My Children—
and know that we will always be together.

Be willful—Soul Children, My Children—
and know that nothing can separate us.

Be heartful—Soul Children, My Children—
and know that I will always come for you.

Be expressive—Soul Children, My Children—
and know that is how we found each other.

Be thoughtful—Soul Children, My Children—
and know what my love for you holds.

Be peaceful—Soul Children, My Children—
and know I am lighting and you are thunder.

Be loving—Soul Children, My Children—
and know why I call you My Soul Children.

"I maybe say too much about how life really is!"

My Writing Notes:

The reason that I wrote this poem can be summed up with the following statement: "Be loving—Soul Children, My Children—and know why I call you My Soul Children."

You see, the words above (assertive, risky, willful, heartful, expressive, thoughtful, peaceful and loving) are symbolic references to the Chakras—or the Energy Centers of the Human Body—which are represented by the colors red (assertive), orange (risky), yellow (willful), green (heartful), blue (expressive), purple (thoughtful), pink (peaceful), since there are seven Chakras! Plus they are represented in their totality by the color white (loving), which is a combination of all the colors.

And you will notice that the Chakras are, in fact, the colors of a rainbow, because they represent The Light Of God (which is a white light, literally like the light of the stars in the universe, including the sun of our solar system) divided into its individual aspects—in the same way that a rainbow is sunlight divided into the colors red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple and pink through the prism of rain water droplets.

Just so you know, I revised this poem, as I often do with my writing! And I changed how this poem was written when I was editing it on my "Paul Whiting — A Creative Writer," "Small All White in the Forest" and "Three Dark Horses" blogs. So, I wanted to show you how this poem used to be written, before I revised it as above.

And it used to be written like this:

"Soul Children, My Children"

Be angry—Soul Children, My Children—
and know how much I truly love you.

Be lustful—Soul Children, My Children—
and know that we will always be together.

Be willful—Soul Children, My Children—
and know that nothing can separate us.

Be heartful—Soul Children, My Children—
and know that I will always come for you.

Be vocal—Soul Children, My Children—
and know that is how we found each other.

Be thoughtful—Soul Children, My Children—
and know what my love for you holds.

Be peaceful—Soul Children, My Children—
and know I am lighting and you are thunder.

Be loving—Soul Children, My Children—
and know why I call you My Soul Children.

Thus, I revised this poem to be written as it is above.

By the way, this poem is also a rewrite of a poem that I wrote for my former roommate Japheth (pronounced "jay-peth") that is titled, "Soul Brother," which is published on this blog. (Please see "Soul Brother-Style Poem" in labels for the poem.)

And this poem was also published on my "Three Dark Horses" and "Small All White in the Forest" blogs (please see the hyperlinks below for the blogs), since I feel that the message in this poem applies to the message I am trying to convey through "Three Dark Horses" and "Small All White in the Forest." Plus, I feel that the message in this poem applies to the message I am trying to convey through my new "The Oneness Of God" spiritual practice!

This poem was written in Portland, Oregon.
