Post No. 105: To The Ones I Love, Part 14 — That Was Amazing, "Grace!"

That Was Amazing, "Grace!"
(An Ode to Leann Rimes Rendition of "Amazing Grace")
[An "Amazing Grace" poem poetic adaptation]

That was amazing, "Grace!" How sweet it
sounded and blessed my restlessness with
just being; I once was 'tossed,' but now I'm
'grounded' by your video that I'm seeing!

'Twas "Grace" who caught my heart in
tears; and "Grace" my heart did 'wring.'
And how glorious did that church
appear as a really great place to sing!

Though many strangers—who have recoiled
and stared—say, "y'all are so ready to be done."
'Tis "Grace" who brought us those musical bars
and "Grace" who harmonized as "The One!"

When we have cared a thousand ways, with
The Passion Of The Son, we have no less
days to share God's Praise—especially with
someone who could really use some!

That was amazing, "Grace!" How sweet it
sounded and blessed my 'binding' with
your 'freeing.' I once felt 'bossed,' but now I'm
astounded with just how 'peaceful' is my being!

My Writing Notes:

The reason that I wrote this poem can be summed up with the following statement: This poem was inspired by Leann Rimes' a cappella cover of the hymn "Amazing Grace." (Please see the hyperlink below for the video.)

Thus, this poem is a poetic adaptation of the hymn "Amazing Grace," which was written as a poem by John Newton and joined with the hymn "New Britain," as the melody most currently associated with the hymn. And it is one of two adaptations that I have written, with the other poem being inspired by a chat conversation that I had with 'zendawg23,' on gay.com, which is published on this blog. (Please see "Amazing Grace-Style Poem" in labels for the poem.)

Plus, when I refer to "The One," I am referring to The First Being, or The First Female, who is Karma! And I truly believe that literally every soul is a God and/or a Goddess as The One!

And The One is the First Being who Created Physics through Mathematics and who Created the Process Of Evolution through Science, by which we are all here in a Field Of Gravity experiencing our individual lives as Souls, so that we may experience Amazing Grace...

Just so you know, I revised this poem, as I often do with my writing! And I changed how one line of this poem was written when I realized that I should remove the metaphorical comparison to "blindness," since it is disrespectful toward those who are blind. So, I wanted to show you how this particular line used to be written, before I revised it as above.

And it used to be written like this:

...How sweet it
sounded and blessed my "blindness" with
your "seeing."

Thus, I revised this poem to be written as it is above.

And this poem was also published on my "Small All White in the Forest" blog (please see the hyperlink below for the blog), since I feel that the message in this poem applies to the message that I am trying to convey through "Small All White in the Forest."

This poem was poetically adapted in Portland, Oregon.

The reason that there is a strike through on the YouTube video hyperlink above is due to the following fact: "This video is no longer available because the YouTube account associated with this video has been terminated." Therefore, I did a search on YouTube for this same video and found two more hyperlinks, which can be seen below:
