Post No. 117: For Valentine's Day, Part 6 — Self-Loving Romance

Self-Loving Romance
(Or, "True Love is Never Free")

I am practicing "Self-Loving Romance"
as part of my philosophy that
"True Love is Never Free" and
should be paid for through
being in touch with your
feelings, a lot of personal
change and hard work to
make an authentic living,
along with emotional
transparency, prudent
compromise and, of
course, honest money.

(a.k.a., A Creative Writer)
"I maybe say too much about how life really is!"

My Writing About True Love Never Being Free: True Love is never free! For, All Of Creation is based on an economy. Therefore, you have to pay for everything—including True Love—through being in touch with your feelings, a lot of personal change and hard work to make an authentic living, along with emotional transparency, prudent compromise and, of course, honest money. –Paul Whiting (written January 11th, 2012 and revised August 23rd, 2022)

My Writing About Self-Loving Romance: I am practicing "Self-Loving Romance" (for example, buying myself chocolates for Valentine's Day, then taking myself out for a romantic dinner) as part of my philosophy that "True Love is Never Free" and should be paid for through being in touch with your feelings, a lot of personal change and hard work to make an authentic living, along with emotional transparency, prudent compromise and, of course, honest money. –Paul Whiting (written February 14th, 2012 and revised August 23rd, 2022)

My Writing Notes:

The reason that I wrote this poem can be summed up with the following statement: "I am practicing 'Self-Loving Romance' (for example, buying myself chocolates for Valentine's Day, then taking myself out for a romantic dinner!) as part of my philosophy that 'True Love is Never Free.'"

*By the way, the image illustrating this poem is of organic Lake Champlain Chocolates Valentine's Day bars, which I photographed on February 14th, 2014, and that is approximately one year before I became vegan again (for the second time), which was around the end of March 2015, since one of the bars is milk chocolate!

And this poem is based upon a quote from "My Posting Sabbatical, Part 1" that was originally published on my "Small All White in the Forest" and "Poet, Artist and Philosopher" blogs (please see the hyperlinks below for the blogs), since I decided to publish some of "My Posting Sabbatical Writing" as blog posts when I republished my old blog posts on my new "Paul Whiting — A Creative Writer" blog, which I created in order to have "a place to place all of my best writing in one place!"

And this poem was only published on my "Paul Whiting — A Creative Writer" blog.

This poem was written in Portland, Oregon.
