The "Caterpillar, Cocoon and
Butterfly" Meaning of Life!

I truly believe that—metaphorically speaking—we are all meant to start out as "The Caterpillar" by only consuming knowledge!

And then, we are all meant to 'go within,' so to speak, by creating "The Cocoon" in order to transform ourselves through our consumed knowledge!

And then, we are all meant to emerge as "The Butterfly" in order to share our transformed knowledge!

And, finally, each "Emerged Butterfly" is meant to encourage each "Consuming Caterpillar" to 'go within,' as well, in order to transform themselves and to become "The Butterfly" also!

My Writing Notes:

The reason that I wrote this prose can be summed up with the following statement: I came across the quote above while I was editing "My Posting Sabbatical, Part 2" post, which was published on my "Small All White in the Forest" and "Poet, Artist and Philosopher" blogs. And I thought that it would make a great post for my "Poet, Artist and Philosopher" blog, as well as for my new "Paul Whiting — A Creative Writer" blog, since I decided to publish some of "My Posting Sabbatical Writing" as blog posts!

By the way, I spelled the word cocoon wrong when I published this post originally on my "Poet, Artist and Philosopher" blog—since I thought that the spelling was "cacoon"—but, eventually, I corrected it.

And this prose was also published on my "Poet, Artist and Philosopher" blog (please see the hyperlink below for the blog), since I feel that the message in this prose applies to the message I am trying to convey through "Poet, Artist and Philosopher."

This prose was written in Portland, Oregon.
